Personal history before the war

Harry was the son of Robert and Harriet Pearson and was married to Freda Elizabeth Pearson of West Hartlepool County Durham.

My family was told that Harry left the UK in the mid 30s to working for the British Government in the Far East.

Wartime experience

Captured at the Fall of Hong Kong. On board the Lisbon Maru and lost in the sinking.

An extract from Norman Lester's diary shows Sergeant Harry Pearson as "Missing Lisbon Maru". Norman Lester was also in the Royal Corps of Signals and on the Lisbon Maru.
