Thomas Hodgson was the eldest of 13 siblings of which only 9 lived.
Thomas Hodgson was based at the Royal Naval Hospital, Hong Kong (Mount Shadwell).
He didn't say much about his time as a Japanese prisoner of war but what he did say was very much like A Town Like Alice which he watched when it was first out and he had nightmares for months afterwards.
