Personal history before the war

Born in Fraserburgh Scotland.

Wartime experience

Served in Hong Kong until capture 25th December 1941.

Prisoner of war camp Shamshuipo.

After sinking of Lisbon Maru which he survived, then ended up in Osaka 2b prisoner of war until he was liberated on 6th September 1945.

Personal history post-war

After the war he worked as a manager in the N.A.A.F.I. In Germany where he met my German Mother and married her back in Scotland in 1949.

They had two Sons (one deceased aged 5) and two daughters.
