Personal history before the war

Charles was born to George and Louisa Pragnell and is identified as coming from Sandown on the Isle of Wight on his POW index card.

Wartime experience

His POW index card identifies him as being captured on the 25th December 1941.

Sadly, Charles was one of the 828 men that perished on the Lisbon Maru between the 1st and 2nd October 1942. He would have most likely been located in hold 3 and it is unknown if he made it off of the ship.
